摘要

In the current situation the world needs sophisticated and advanced smart healthcare services that allow monitoring of the patient's conditions. We can improve the medical condition of human life if diseases and disorders can be predicted at an early stage. IoT-based healthcare systems are in high demand because the number of ill patients has grown significantly over the years. For practical applications including system modelling, integration, testing, monitoring, and maintenance. A WBAN is the most recent technology that plays an important role in the healthcare environment. WBAN uses sensors for real-time health monitoring. These sensor nodes are light in weight and low in power so the system will become cost-effective. Various objects in a system are connected using the Internet, and the Internet of Things is an innovative technology that is used to connect those objects. IoT-based Healthcare applications which are implemented by WBAN are gaining popularity in the healthcare environment since they are implemented in different medical areas like monitoring patients’ health in real-time and wellness program management. Using IoT various objects of the healthcare system can connect for sharing information, data, and resources. A wireless body area network in the healthcare system incorporates numerous bio-sensors that are implanted in patients for checking their health on a regular basis. In this article, we will discuss the body area network architecture, communication types, and their issues. We also present the working of IoT-based BANs in the human body for monitoring and diagnosis the diseases. We will explain the potential healthcare application of IoT (HIoT). Finally, we will highlight the challenges and issues of IoT-based WBANs.
