In this chapter, we will explore essential aspects of husbandry for laboratory animals, emphasizing the pivotal role of optimal conditions to ensure animal well-being and care and to meet experimental requirements. It highlights the significance of providing animals with an environment that not only meets regulatory standards but also contributes to their welfare, while taking into account their respective features and specificities.
