Review of Dynamic Soil-Structure Interaction Models
摘要
An application-oriented taxonomy of soil-structure interaction (SSI) modelling techniques is presented. The currently available models are reviewed and categorised into two main groups: continuum and condensed, as well as a series of sub-groups. Following a short description, the advantages and limitations of each one of these methods are briefly outlined. It is observed that the simplified condensed models are easier to use for practical design applications; however, they might lack accuracy compared to the more sophisticated yet computationally involved continuum approaches. A selection of comparative studies is also presented, aiming to provide an instrumental component for future benchmarking exercises to select the optimal modelling tool for each application.
