Seismic Resistance of Large-Span Composite Shells

The results of a study of the structural safety of large-span unique buildings and structures with the use of spatial structures made on models and full-scale structures are presented. According to the results of theoretical and experimental studies, the behavior of various geometric forms of spatial systems under dynamic effects of high intensity has been revealed. To ensure operational safety, changes in the structural properties of materials, dynamic parameters, compliance of bearing diaphragms and the presence of local damage were investigated. It is proposed to introduce spatial stiffness elements, the inclusion of which contributes to the exit from the resonant state. The possibility of applying the proposed method of accounting for variable dynamic stiffness in calculations for solving problems of dynamic strength and stability of spatial large-span shells of unique buildings of complex geometry is shown.
