Dielectric Resonators in Regular Metal Waveguides

It’s convenient to express the amplitude-frequency characteristics of the reflection and transmission parameters of various waveguide structures with DR in terms of coupling coefficients. We define the coupling coefficient of the resonator with the microwave transmission line as the reciprocal of its radiation quality factor: \(\tilde{k}_{s} = 1/Q_{s}^{\Sigma }\) . Calculation of coupling coefficients determined by the s-th type of oscillations and the field of propagating waves for specific forms of DR and transmission line is an independent task.
