Exploring the Efficacy of Chatbots in Automated Information Retrieval Systems: Insights from a Survey Study

Automatic information retrieval using a chatbot holds significant importance in enhancing education in the medical field. It plays a crucial role in empowering learners with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to succeed in their educational journey, professional practice, and lifelong learning endeavors. By leveraging technology to enhance education, the chatbot contributes to the advancement of medical knowledge, the improvement of healthcare outcomes, and the development of competent and compassionate healthcare professionals. The enhancement plays a crucial role in democratizing medical education, making high-quality educational resources accessible, convenient, and personalized to learners’ needs. By leveraging chatbot technology, medical educators can enhance the learning experience, promote engagement and retention, and ultimately improve healthcare outcomes. In order to improve medical education, this research present a survey and a pipeline for developing an automated information retrieval system utilizing a chatbot. The outcomes of the experiment show that the suggested approach can provide high-quality phrases in the medical field. The recall becomes 66%. The precision is 48%. F-measure becomes 84.26.
