摘要

A wireless network is used to connect multiple moving or stationary automobiles to form vehicular ad hoc networks, known as VANETs. The primary objective of VANETs is to safeguard drivers’ comfort and safety while operating a vehicle. Different vehicle nodes can communicate with one another through Vehicle Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs). Security risks have the potential to hinder network functionality and impact this communication. The suggested study will assist in identifying a specific type of attack known as a denial-of-service attack, or DoS attack. To identify malicious nodes and improper networks, threshold levels and entropy are utilized. A different approach to detecting malicious nodes involves using double acknowledgement. Several metrics are used to evaluate the suggested algorithm, including packet delivery ratio, average throughput, and end-to-end delay. The detection of malicious nodes is significantly improved compared to cutting-edge techniques. The combination of two methods demonstrates the algorithm’s ability to identify malicious nodes.
