Measuring Sustainable Positive Peace in Societies: Focusing on What Works
摘要
This chapter discusses the framework developed by the Institute for Economics and PeaceInstitute for Economics and Peace (IEP) (IEP) to measure and analyze Positive Peace globally. It shows how the discussion of Negative and Positive Peace can benefit from a data-driven analytical approach, which improves objectiveness and auditability. An examination of systems thinking applied to the study of Positive Peace provides an alternative perspective on peacebuilding and intervention design. Practical examples of IEP’s analysis and Positive Peace implementation programs illustrate and enrich the concepts discussed. This chapter has been written to present Counsellors with how IEP is thinking through peace with the larger goal of generating further research questions of interest to Counsellors.
