This involves strategies such as zero-waste pattern making, improved design, and eco-friendly packaging. To achieve sustainable fashion, addressing various sources of fashion waste is essential. By implementing measures like optimized design and inventory management, the industry can minimize waste and contribute to environmental responsibility. Transforming fashion waste management practices is crucial, encompassing awareness, stakeholder education, and sustainable actions like recycling. This approach can significantly reduce the fashion industry’s environmental impact and cultivate an eco-conscious fashion waste management methos. Research Limitation/Implications: The study's limitations stem from potential incomplete data, affecting result accuracy. However, it remains valuable by pinpointing waste generation areas in the garment industry and suggesting effective waste reduction strategies despite these limitations. Social Implication: The study could shed light on the environmental impact of the garment industry’s waste generation and poor waste management practices. Originality/Value: This study is focused on the examination of waste generation and management within Ghana's garment industry, its alignment with sustainable fashion promotion, its potential to offer practical recommendations, and its broader implications for local and global sustainability efforts.
