TeTieuVR: An Immersive VR Application Introducing the Captivating Art of TeTieu Puppetry

This paper presents the development of TeTieuVR, a virtual museum application aimed at introducing and promoting the Vietnamese national heritage art form known as TeTieu puppetry. The research contributes to the documentation of the TeTieu craft village by creating 20 three-dimensional puppet models for four different stories. Moreover, an interactive virtual reality (VR) application was developed to offer users an immersive experience and an opportunity to learn about the art of TeTieu puppetry, the history of TeTieu puppetry, the achievements of artisans and the TeTieu craft village, as well as the reenactment of TeTieu puppet performances. The application has received positive feedback from both users and puppetry artisans, highlighting its effectiveness in preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of TeTieu puppetry, a valuable part of the Vietnamese national heritage.
