摘要

Primary complications associated with diabetes mellitus (DM) encompass the kidneys, retina, and peripheral nerves, with diabetic patients commonly experiencing skin injuries. Consequently, there is a growing interest in understanding the structural and molecular characteristics of non-compromised diabetic skin, i.e., prior to the onset of injuries. The existing insights into this domain have predominantly emerged in recent times and, to some extent, stem from diverse models involving diabetic animals.
