Metabolic Effects on the Skin Produced by Obesity: Necrobiosis Lipoidica
摘要
Necrobiosis lipoidica is an uncommon granulomatous inflammatory disorder involving collagen degeneration. It is linked with diabetes, but not all patients have it. Typical clinical picture is symmetrical well-demarcated yellow-brown plaques with violaceous borders. Diagnosis is usually clinical, but biopsy may be needed for differential diagnosis. There are no guidelines about the treatment. Corticosteroids are widely used, and phototherapy is also a valid option. The future will show the role of JAK inhibitors in the treatment.
