Embolization of Goiter

Embolization complements radiofrequency ablation in the palliation of bulk or cosmetic symptoms due to goiter. For example, goiters behind the sternum, manubrium, and clavicle may not be safely accessible for thyroid radiofrequency ablation, but such goiters often have hypertrophic arterial supply that can be accessed for embolization. The authors present a systematic approach to goiter embolization.
