RFA for the Treatment of Recurrent Thyroid Cancer
摘要
Papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) is the most common subtype of thyroid cancer, accounting for approximately 85% of cases. Despite initial treatment success, a significant number of patients experience loco-regional recurrence, necessitating alternative treatment approaches. Ultrasound-guided radiofrequency ablation (RFA) has emerged as a promising minimally invasive modality for managing recurrent PTC. This chapter aims to review the pre-procedural evaluations, clinical efficacy, and safety profile of RFA in treating recurrent PTC.
