Past, Present and Climate Change Scenarios: Investigating Erosion Risk on Archaeological Heritage in the Sinni Valley (Basilicata, Italy)
摘要
Erosion is one of the main hazard factors for archaeological heritage; consequently, it is important to monitor it in the past and in its current distribution and to forecast its evolution in the future. Climate changes and its effects alter this last, in particular depending on rains. Consequently, in this paper, the USPED model is used to calculate erosion for different years; moreover, a simulation of future development is proposed. This in order to investigate the erosion risk on the archaeological heritage in the Sinni Valley, a place rich of sites and traces of the past.
