摘要

This chapter explores what we mean by digital justice and tries to make sense of the diverse ways technology is now mediating processes and relationships in justice systems. Using civil justice as a case study and drawing on examples from around the world, it focuses on whether technology is primarily being used to substitute paper and other in-person processes for digital or going further to transform the essential nature of how we interact. More particularly it looks at the ways in which digital files are replacing paper and machines are replacing humans.
