From Myth to Philosophy
摘要
Human knowledge is rooted in the murky origins of stories of creation. The actors in the drama of the formation of the cosmos possess a might and an intelligence that eclipse those qualities in even the strongest and brightest human beings. They could send a blinding flash to destroy a forest; roar in a deafening thunder; puff a storm that uproots trees, animals, and humans into the air like aimless bees and birds caught in a high wind; and dump water into a river to drown an entire civilization.
