摘要

By 1900, the school had reached its peak. The number of students exceeded the one hundred mark; Dewey and the Laboratory School teachers published numerous essays and books and made the school known beyond Chicago through lectures, seminars, and the conducting of vacation schools. The response from journalists and educators was overwhelming and predominantly friendly.
