Precarious Undertaking—The Establishment of the University Primary School

In November 1895, Dewey decided to put his educational vision into practice and open his experimental school in January 1896. The two months scheduled to set up and organize the school were extremely short, considering that—without practical experience, a theoretical conception, or the support of any associate—he wanted to revolutionize education and put teaching on a new footing.
