Educational Leadership and Quality Assurance in Schools

This chapter explores the interplay between educational leadership and quality assurance in schools. Quality assurance involves systematic assessment, monitoring, and improving processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality education. Educational leadership is the ability of school leaders to influence teachers to achieve stated objectives. Education leaders inspired continuous improvement, prioritizing commitment to high-quality education through improving teaching processes, curriculum development, enhanced students’ learning outcomes, and resource management. Certainly, quality assurance mechanisms such as internal evaluators, external evaluators, and accreditation agencies serve as checks and balances to educational institutions during evaluation. This chapter outlined the features of educational leadership and quality assurance in delivering quality education to students. It emphasized the need for investment in leadership development, data-driven decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and a culture of school improvement. The intertwining of educational leadership and quality assurance ensures schools’ continuous development. Therefore, this chapter concluded that educational leadership and quality assurance are essential in achieving quality education in schools.
