Corporate Financial Reporting: Forensic Accounting Techniques for Detecting Financial Fraud and Boosting Profitability

This study appropriately investigates the character of forensic accounting practices in detecting and preventing financial frauds, emphasizing their impact on corporate profitability and the reliability of financial reporting. The study employed statistical analysis tools such as SPSS and Smart PLS to analyze a dataset comprising 179 responses out of 250 sample sizes from various financial professionals, experts, and corporate stakeholders. The study originates by providing an overview of the prevalent financial fraud challenges and the consequences they cause for organizations, investors, and the broader financial landscape. It highlights the implication of preemptive measures to detect and lessen financial fraud practices. Forensic accounting practices, including data analysis, document examination, interviews, and expert witness evidence, are examined in the context of their efficacy in fraud detection and prevention. Furthermore, the study accentuates the integral role of technology and data analytics in enhancing the capabilities of forensic accountants. The research discovers the relationship between adopting these practices and the development of corporate profitability. Furthermore, the study highlights the critical linkage between the reliability of corporate financial reporting and forensic accounting by maintaining transparency and accountability.
