A Comprehensive Study of Industry Profiling Systems for UPSI Students

The abstract provides an overview of a comprehensive research project conducted at an educational institution in Malaysia involving a diverse cohort of 500 internship students. Using a quantitative research approach, the project explored three critical areas of investigation. First, it examined the factors influencing students’ choices when selecting industry placements. Second, it assessed the effectiveness of industry profiling systems in collecting, managing, and disseminating student feedback. Third, it evaluated the impact of sector profiling systems from students’ perspective. The research sheds light on the complexities of student decision-making and provides valuable insights for enhancing industry profiling systems in higher education. It underscores the importance of a holistic approach involving students, institutions, and industries to ensure these systems can improve higher education decision-making.
