Towards Wellbeing and Resilience: Innovations in Community Mental Health Practice in Zimbabwe
摘要
This chapter examines the impact of a selected community mental health initiative in Zimbabwe’s Midlands Province. Through the Restore Mental Wellbeing, Fostering Meaningful Existence project, the authors discuss the transformative potential of economic empowerment and community integration for mental health users. Drawing on their mental health background and international collaborations, the authors highlight the importance of sustainable partnerships and grassroots initiatives in addressing mental health challenges in resource-constrained settings. By providing a comprehensive analysis of these initiatives, this chapter contributes to a deeper understanding of the intersection between mental health, economic empowerment, and social inclusion in Sub-Saharan African contexts.
