Strategies to Innovate from Traditional to Systemic Approach: An Analysis of a Sample of Italian Farms During a B2B Event
摘要
The European Green Deal acknowledges sustainable technologies’ pivotal role in environmental balance, climate change mitigation, and biodiversity preservation. Innovation drives the National Recovery and Resilience Plan's goals and ecological transitions in agrifood and environmental sectors. This study explores open innovation adoption in Italy's agrifood sector, recognizing its benefits in collaborating with external stakeholders. Systemic innovation's importance, through collaboration and identifying constraints, is crucial for sustainable development objectives. Using statistical methods, the study analyzes Italian agrifood companies to identify innovation strategies. Some firms embrace systemic approaches, while others follow conventional models. Knowledge transfer, collaboration, and investments in digitization and renewable energy are key for the sector's sustainable transition. Raising awareness among agrifood firms is vital for embracing open and systemic innovation.
