摘要

Water contamination from industry, agriculture, urbanization, and recreational activities has resulted in the formation of nonbiodegradable toxins that harm the environment and people’s health. As soon as it reaches the soil environment, it reduces soil microbial biomass and numerous enzyme reactions, producing changes in soil communities. Insecticides, metals, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are only insufficient pollutants that stay long and cause chronic pollution. Bioremediation is a practical and ecologically friendly biotechnology that uses biological methods. A diverse spectrum of enzymes from bacteria, fungi, and plants are involved in the biodegradation of hazardous organic contaminants. Innovative bioprocess technology developed as a result of this field’s study to reduce the pollutants’ damaging impacts and produce new beneficial compounds.
