Electrocardiography

An electrocardiogram (ECG) is a surface recording of the electrical potentials generated from the heart mapped against time. Characteristics of the ECG patterns allow monitoring and diagnosis of cardiac conditions such as rate and rhythm disturbances and myocardial ischaemia.
