Oxygen Measurement
摘要
Measurement of inspired oxygen concentrations is a fundamental prerequisite of delivering anaesthesia and critical care. Paramagnetism and diamagnetic substances are defined, and the measurement of partial pressure of oxygen using a paramagnetic analyser is discussed. Additionally, the basic science of other techniques used in the measurement of partial pressure of oxygen such as thermo-paramagnetic analysis, electrochemical cells and ultrasound analysis is discussed together with perspectives on their clinical use.
