Planar Interfaces
摘要
Fresnel’s formulas describing transmission and reflection phenomena at absolutely plane and smooth interfaces between optically homogeneous and isotropic materials are derived. Total internal reflection, reflection phenomena at metal surfaces, and specific effects observed upon reflection at the interface between an isotropic and an anisotropic material are discussed in more detail.
