Utilizing Artificial Intelligence for Enhanced Healthcare Diagnosis and Treatment

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has undergone a consistent revolution in recent years, affecting various fields, including healthcare, to improve the quality of care offered to patients in a simple and effective way. In this chapter, we will explore the important role of AI and the Internet of Things for Health (IoHT) in general diagnostics, as well as address diagnosis using medical imaging techniques for effective disease detection, treatment, and medication management. We will also discuss remote patient monitoring systems, enabling continuous, and real-time monitoring. These systems require devices connected to the Internet of Things to collect the necessary data, varying in terms of need, efficiency, and performance. The role of AI is not limited to simply detecting disease, it also assists specialists during the disease treatment period through systems providing treatment plans and optimized medication management. Through this chapter, we offer a perspective on how the integration of AI in healthcare is improving medical practices.
