  • Aparna Vajpayee

摘要

This study investigates the pervasive issue of negative body image, focusing on gender disparities, age-specific variations, and the profound impact on social and work adjustment. Leveraging a combination of traditional survey methods and cutting-edge IoT technologies, the research provides a nuanced understanding of the complexities surrounding body image perceptions. The findings reveal a consistent trend of females experiencing higher levels of negative body image compared to males, emphasizing the influence of societal norms propagated by media and cultural factors. Age-specific differences underscore the importance of tailored interventions, particularly for vulnerable age groups like adolescents. The integration of IoT technologies emerges as a transformative approach to address negative body image. Recommendations encompass a range of interventions, from educational programs and media literacy initiatives to workplace wellness and mental health support systems. The study advocates for ongoing research and collaboration with technology companies to develop innovative, real-time solutions. The implications of negative body image on social and work adjustment, as evidenced by the Work and Social Adjustment Scale, highlight the urgent need for holistic strategies. Cultural sensitivity, parental involvement, and public awareness campaigns contribute to a comprehensive framework for addressing negative body image. In conclusion, this research not only deepens our understanding of the challenges posed by negative body image but also proposes concrete, technology-enhanced interventions to foster a more inclusive and positive societal outlook. The study envisions a transformative shift towards healthier body image perceptions, driven by the integration of IoT technologies and a collective commitment to nurturing well-being across diverse demographics.
