Excel-Based Simulator for a Better Decision Making in a Financial Market

Financial markets, despite over a century of research, remain complex, requiring investors to make informed decisions. This research introduces an Excel-based simulator, integrating advanced financial ratios and technical analysis for clear buy or sell signals. Leveraging Microsoft Excel ensures accessibility for investors of varying expertise. The article details the simulator's design, functionality, and the methodology employed to assess its utility. Semi-structured interviews with 22 traders reveal positive feedback, affirming its useful applicability and thematic analysis identifies recurring patterns, guiding the integration of technical indicators with an objective of empowering investors with a versatile tool, combining fundamental and technical analyses for more informed stock trading decisions.
