Experimental Study of the Effects of Laser Treatment Settings on the Mechanical Properties of AISI 4340 Steel
摘要
This study presents an experimental parametric analysis that used the design of experiments methodology to evaluate the effect of laser heat treatment parameters on the surface mechanical properties of AISI 4340 steel parts. The research employed a Taguchi design consisting of three factors at three levels: laser power (P), scanning speed (V), and focal distance (DF). This study presents an experimental analysis of the impact of various parameters on the lines generated by the laser during the treatment process. The analysis is based on hardness tests and metallographic observations.
