Privilege and Performative Allyship Within Organizations
摘要
This chapter examines privilege and performative allyship within organizations, focusing on how privilege is automatically granted to dominant groups and the superficiality of performative allyship. It discusses the importance of genuine allyship, which involves continuous self-reflection, education, and commitment to systemic change. The chapter explores the concepts of stereotypes, prejudice, and stigma, emphasizing the need for privileged individuals to acknowledge their inherent advantages and actively work to dismantle structural inequities. It highlights the distinction between performative and authentic allyship, stressing the detrimental effects of the former on marginalized groups. Strategies for promoting genuine allyship and addressing both microaggressions and macroaggressions are outlined, aiming to foster inclusive and equitable organizational environments.
