Tweed’s triangle attempts to condense the geometric essence of proper dentoskeletal correlation by relating the ideal uprighting of mandibular incisors to the degree of divergence. The basic idea is that an FMIA angle between 62 and 70° ensures facial harmony and agreeableness, so any treatment must preserve it.
