Exploring the Unknown: Overview of the Medicinal Plants from Sub-Saharan Africa and Their Undiscovered Therapeutic Potential
摘要
Approximately 45,000 plant species have been identified in Africa, of which 5000 are used traditionally. This indicates that little is known about Africa’s flora and their link to traditional usage, leaving a gap that needs to be filled. This chapter is an introduction to the book titled “Medicinal Plants from Sub-Saharan Africa: Undiscovered Therapeutic Potential,” providing some insight as to what the reader can expect and gain from its contents.
