摘要

Students are the beneficiaries of effective school-community partnerships. The list of advantages for students in schools that integrate communities into their schooling fabrics include lower absenteeism, higher educational achievement and greater access to learning opportunities outside of school. Yet, dominant accountability logics of practice that exist in schools continually position community partnerships on the margins of core school business. In this chapter, we present a series of practice instances of school-community partnerships from Tasmania’s schooling context that have disrupted dominant logics. Each instance offers insight into alternative logics that can generate effective school-community partnerships. We use these enabling practice logics to envision a new way forward for creating and sustaining school-community partnerships in schooling.
