Mountain Landscape Epistemology

The chapter presents a concise summary of mountain landscape (ML) epistemology (definitions, etymology, ML nature, role and description, ML structure, entities, processes and properties, ML theories, typology and classification, ML structure, and stability). The epistemes often linked to western views of landscape ecological conventions provide a comprehensive approach to grasp the diversity of applications of the term landscape when dealing with studies of mountain as socioecological systems.
