Mountain Studies
摘要
Mountain studies has come a long way over the past 200 years from sectoral studies of mountains to a comprehensive study of mountain socio-ecological systems. Currently, the concept of montology has a great influence on mountain research as a holistic, integrative, and transdisciplinary science of mountains. Current mountain studies must face up to the challenges of the twenty-first century, which requires both a critical examination of its own disciplinary history (decolonizing mountain studies), inter- and transdisciplinary cooperation, and multimethodological approaches.
