The Enigma About Amerindian Origins in the Sixteenth Century

The historiography about pre-Columbian trans-Pacific contact between the Americas and Oceania spans several centuries. Some of the earliest ideas about trans-Pacific contact emerged in the sixteenth century, contained in Spanish chronicles from the New World, mainly involving Peru or Chile.
