Overview of Vehicular Resource Allocation: Review and Future Directions

摘要

The integration of advanced technologies into the design of automotive vehicles has given rise to the creation of intelligent vehicles equipped with embedded computing resources. However, the mobility and increasing number of vehicles bring new challenges such as the instability of resources. Indeed, different research works addressing the vehicular resource allocation have been studied and evaluated with respect to few criteria. In this study, we propose an overview of the resource allocation approaches and we classify these approaches into different categories. This classification is related to five main factors which are: the adopted algorithms, the optimization parameters, the tools, the execution environments and the use case. Furthermore, we present future directions for in-depth investigations. We believe that our Systematic Literature Review (SLR) will be useful for both academics and industry researchers to understand the existing works addressing the challenges of vehicular resource allocation.
