Optimizing Energy Consumption in Android Mobile Devices Based on User Recommendations

The constant advancement of mobile technology has provided a considerable increase in capabilities in smartphone devices. However, at the same rate, it has also caused smartphones to use more energy. This study presents an innovative data collection application designed to extract crucial information about device performance, including network, settings, memory, and battery data. Using an analytical approach, we identify specific conditions that result in substantially higher energy consumption and develop a recommendation system that notifies users about practices that aim to optimize energy efficiency. Furthermore, we explored the interaction between the system and users, recording feedback and evaluating acceptance of recommendations. The results reveal valuable insights into practical strategies to improve battery life, contributing to the efficiency and sustainability of mobile devices.
