Design and Development of Low-Cost Smart Safety System for Residence

In the current era of swift technological progress, it is imperative to secure property and ensure the well-being of family members by installing a smart home security system. In addition, the Internet of Things (IoT) assumes a significant role in the lives of human beings. Therefore, a concept is proposed to create an intelligent safety system for home automation and theft prevention to improve security in both home and commercial places. This study provides an IoT-integrated microcontroller-based anti-theft detection and alarm system that ensures effective and reliable intruder detection. Controlling the temperature, the lighting and the devices inside a house can be made easier and more efficient via this system, which encompasses various technological advancements. This proposed algorithm will make sure that the data from each unit is kept distinct, private, and secure. The amount of electricity wasted can also be decreased with this smart system. A proactive monitoring system that offers real-time alerts for fire hazards and the entry of intruders into the home is also incorporated into this system. Furthermore, it gives alerts on various security risks. The suggested system effectively averts and manages theft-related problems by forgoing physical security infrastructure in favor of IoT technology.
