摘要
The theory of the dynamics of infectious diseases is one of the oldest branches of mathematical biology. In 1927, Kermack and McKendrick raised mathematical epidemiology to a new level when they introduced a continuous-time mathematical model of infectious diseases [187]. The seminal deterministic continuous-time infectious disease model framework of Kermack and McKendrick has now developed into a standard and well-established mathematical framework for constructing continuous-time and discrete-time infectious disease models.
