摘要

MiRNAs can regulate the cytotoxicity of viruses by controlling viral protein expression involved in innate and acquired immune pathways. They directly target viral transcripts and can either inhibit or induce viral replication. In addition, viruses have their miRNAs. Viruses translate miRNAs in their genomes to enhance viral replication, control viral latency, and reduce factors that increase inflammatory responses and leukocyte recruitment. Similar to cellular miRNAs, viral miRNAs (v-miRNAs) interact with the 3′UTR of the target mRNA.
