miRNAs in Aging
摘要
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been recognized as significant contributors to the process of aging, offering valuable insights into its underlying mechanisms and potential therapeutic strategies aimed at improving aging and enhancing our overall well-being. The present chapter explores the characteristics of miRNAs and their roles in the modulation of gene expression during the course of aging. The primary objective of this study was to investigate the modifications in miRNA expression patterns associated with the aging process. Additionally, we sought to explore the potential functional implications of these alterations. Moreover, we explored the influence of environmental factors on the control of miRNAs and the possible applicability of these sequences as diagnostic biomarkers and targets for therapeutic intervention in age-related diseases.
