Object Oriented Modeling of Integrated Cloud Transportation System

The invention of the wheel and fire were two essential incidents in the history of human civilization. The wheel was invented to move from one location to another location. The fire was invented to make food tasty to eat, so that with the evolution of time, the intake of raw flesh may be avoided. From the initial stages of human civilization, these two inventions were closely related to each other. This is because, due to the paucity of food, the migrants (i.e., Human beings) move from one place to another place with the help of carts made of wheels. This scenario clearly depicts the importance and relevance of the transportation system for food and shelter even from the beginning of human civilization till today. With the gradual evolution of time, various ways of transportation have evolved either for the transportation of goods and passengers or both. Transportation means the movement of people and cargo, either using public vehicles or using private vehicles. Furthermore, any individual may avail of various modes of transportation, like roadways, railways, waterways, airways, etc., to complete the journey. Similar situations may also arise for the transportation of cargo from the source location to the destination location. As multiple stakeholders like government, citizens, and multiple service providers are involved in this transportation system, it is essential to manage all the activities in a perfect manner, so that the interests of all the stakeholders are protected thoroughly. Due to the recent conflicts among multiple countries throughout the globe and the high price of fuel, this discussion has become more relevant in nature. Even from the perspective of end users (i.e. citizens), it is also important to have an integrated environment to perform all types of transactions (related to transportation) like booking of tickets, cancellation of tickets, rescheduling of ticket bookings, updating of transportation details, etc., in a hassle-free manner. This reflects transactions among multiple stakeholders through public mediums like the Internet. To achieve this objective, authors have proposed a single window-based integrated Cloud Transportation System (CTS), which will help to provide better services to all the stakeholders including the end users in an integrated manner. The novelty of this proposed model stands on the integration of all stakeholders in a single user-friendly platform. To attain the state of the art status of the proposed model, in this paper, authors have performed the Object Oriented Modeling of the proposed Cloud Transportation System (CTS) using Use Case Diagrams and Sequence Diagrams.
