Comparative Study of Image Compression Methods Using Artificial Neural Networks Based on Semi-log Quantization
摘要
Image compression can be carried out through the use of various methods and, here, one can cite Artificial Neural Networks (ANN). The purpose of this paper is to compare and study three methods of image compression using neural networks. In order to improve these methods, we will apply the semi-logarithmic quantization to the original image as a pre-treatment step before its compression with different types of neural networks.
