摘要

This study aims to examine the performance of index exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets. ETFs have gained increasing popularity among investors in both markets, warranting a thorough investigation into their price and performance fluctuations. Disparities exist in the performance of ETFs across different industries in bullish and bearish market environments, with varying degrees of impact from market trends. For instance, the primary industry in the Taiwan market is electronics, while the Hong Kong market is focused on finance. By analyzing the performance of ETFs in the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets, while considering different risk-return profiles, market environments, and industry influences, this study’s findings will offer practical investment recommendations to investors and contribute to policy-making and academic research.
