State Constitutional Courts and Their Justices

The sixth chapter is devoted to the personal dimension of state constitutional jurisdiction. It analyses the different election and appointment procedures, the composition of the state constitutional courts, and how a justice’s term of office comes to an end. The findings show a considerable range of variations between the courts’ compositions.
