Constitutional Courts as Institutions: Status, Mode of Operation, Jurisdictions
摘要
In the fifth chapter, I will present an answer to the question of whether and to what extent state constitutional courts qualify as constitutional bodies (Verfassungsorgane). I will highlight the differences between the courts in terms of legal basis, administrative structure, budgets, and jurisdiction. While my findings do not challenge the status of these courts as constitutional bodies, they do question the assumption that state constitutional courts display a “high degree of homogeneity.”
